European Data Centre Association (EUDCA) to launch at DataCentres Europe 2012 with 70+ Member Companies from 17 Countries

Data Centres Europe 2012 has been selected for the formal launch the new European Data Centre Association due to its regional audience and reputation as the leading conference for content relating to the data centre industry.

Brussels 8 May 2012 – Data Centres Europe 2012 to be held in Nice on the 23-24th of May has been selected for the formal launch the new European Data Centre Association because of its regional audience and its reputation as the leading conference for content relating to the data centre industry. The European Data Centre Association will exhibit at the event (Stand C10) and welcomes new members to meet there.

The new association already has more than 70 member companies from 17 countries. Members already signed up to the EUDCA include leading data centre operators including TelecityGroup, EBRC, Colt, DCO, Lamda Hellix and Interxion, major suppliers to the industry including Schneider Electric, Jerlaure, Stratégies and Siemens, leading consultants to the industry including Arup and Migration Solutions, and leading law firm Bird & Bird.

“More than 50 companies and individuals have already signed up as members of the EUDCA with more joining every day as the association gains traction,” commented Alex Rabbetts, board member of the Association. “The EUDCA is now recognised as the voice at a European level that the industry needs.”

The official launch at the prestigious DataCentres 2012 event will see the EUDCA exhibiting, will offer the opportunity to meet its members, and welcome new members to join the association. The event will also hear the chairman of the association, Bernard Lecanu speak about the reasons that the Association was formed and its roadmap for the forthcoming year.

“We are delighted to welcome The EUDCA and their team to the event,” commented Warwick Dunkley, vice president at BroadGroup, the event researcher and producer. “It is a tremendous honour for Datacentres Europe 2012 to be selected for the launch of this important new Association.”

The event will also host the annual ECOC Awards by the European Commission.
