Exciting final of Nawras Beach Football Tournament

Muscat, 30 March 2014 – After an exciting finals day, the winners of the third annual Nawras Beach Football Tournament were celebrating with the crowds. The victors, team ‘Cosmos’ from Muscat, proudly raised their winner’s trophy after a tough competition.

The tournament saw some amazing skills and sportsmanship, as the 32 winning teams from Sur and Muscat battled it out for top honours. The top team took home RO 1,200, with 2nd place bagging RO 800 and third place RO 600. There was also a prize of RO 200 for the best player – Farid Shukairi, also from team ‘Cosmos’.

“This has been a fantastic tournament full of great goals and sportsmanship. For us, it’s inspiring to see the level of talent and passion for the game and I know that a number of players are already looking forward to next year’s tournament! The spectator support was also amazing and helped to make the event a huge success” said Said Safrar, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Nawras.
