The Award Acknowledges EXFO as the Fastest Growing T&M Vendor Within the Global SONET/SDH and OTN Test Market and Establishes EXFO as the Solid No. 2 in the Industry

QUEBEC CITY, April 7, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — EXFO Inc. (Nasdaq:EXFO) (TSX:EXF) announced today that it has been named recipient of Frost & Sullivan’s 2011 Global Growth Leadership Award in the SONET/SDH and OTN test equipment market. The award is presented to the company that has demonstrated excellence in achieving the highest annual compound growth rate in the last three years.

Four key performance drivers factored in Frost & Sullivan’s analysis. First, in 2010, EXFO was the first to add full ODU0 and ODUflex capabilities to an already comprehensive 10G/40G portable transport test offering, enabling service providers to maximize the available bandwidth with increased flexibility. Frost & Sullivan’s research shows that in North America, EXFO secured a market share of 35.9% and saw its revenue grow 25%. The company also performed extremely well in the Asia-Pacific region, as its market share reached 13.8%, an increase of 65%.
