FIME Establishes Presence in Dubai
11 May 2011 – FIME, a global leader in consulting, test and certification services for payment systems, cards and terminals, has launched a permanent commercial presence in Dubai. Peter Farren has been appointed as Head of Business Development to lead the new operation.
The FIME operation in Dubai significantly strengthens FIME’s offering by delivering consultancy and project management services to local issuers and acquirers, which will support the development and implementation of domestic payment schemes and migration to EMV. The operation also provides testing and certification services for host systems, cards and terminals to ensure a solution meets the market’s requirements, functional and security features and industry regulations prior to launch.
Farren, who has worked with FIME as a consultant for a number of years, has been selected to manage the operation due to his expertise in the payments and finance sector, and experience in delivering EMV migration projects for brands including MasterCard and Visa within the region.
Dubai is the latest operation to be launched by FIME, which currently has offices and ISO 17025 accredited laboratories in France, Belgium, Taiwan, Canada, India, Korea and China.
