Fujitsu Adds CELSIUS M740 to its Portfolio of Long Lifecycle Workstations

London, July 4th, 2016Fujitsu today announced that it is extending its unique portfolio of CELSIUS Long Lifecycle desktop workstations to include the CELSIUS M740. This new workstation delivers not only the processing power required to handle graphics-intensive applications for computer aided design (CAD), media and entertainment, computer aided engineering (CAE) and healthcare but has also been designed for a minimum lifecycle of 36 months, guaranteeing continuity and availability for long-term projects.

The powerful Fujitsu CELSIUS M740 single processor desktop workstation features Intel’s new Xeon® E5-2600 v4 processor family with fast 2400 MHz DDR4 memory up to 256GB and a wide range of graphics cards topped by the NVIDIA® Quadro® M6000. It also has 12 drive bays, 7 PCI-Express slots and storage performance is boosted by fast PCIe SSDs that enable rapid loading of core applications. Furthermore, due to an optimised air flow management inside the system, the workstation is nearly silent, emitting only 20 dB(A) during operation.

With 25 years of history in designing and producing desktop workstations, Fujitsu’s comprehensive portfolio of Long Lifecycle products offers peace of mind for customers in industries where long-term continuity and availability are crucial. In diverse market segments such as healthcare, telecommunications, security, energy and the public sector, customers can benefit from minimised support costs, reduced complexity during the planning process for future components and systems, no certification rework or integration costs and long availability of spare parts.

As one of the top global workstation vendors, Fujitsu uniquely offers a broad selection of Long Lifecycle products that range from desktops to workstations and servers. Thanks to its end-to-end capabilities – which include in-house development of BIOS and system boards – Fujitsu can run full production of desktop and rack workstations at its state-of-the-art facility in Augsburg, Germany.

The new CELSIUS M740 Long Lifecycle is available to order immediately and extend the Long Lifecycle workstation portfolio, which already includes the CELSIUS W520 Long Lifecycle and the CELSIUS W550 Long Lifecycle models. Pricing depends on region and configuration.
