Brazil’s ON selects AIRCOM for LTE network planning and optimisation

CTIA, Las Vegas, USA/Leatherhead, UK – 21 May, 2013 – AIRCOM International, the leading independent software and solutions provider for improved network performance has been selected by ON Telecom, a new Brazilian wireless broadband access provider, for the design and optimisation of its LTE network.

ON Telecom is an innovative start-up that is leveraging LTE TDD spectrum to deliver differentiated, high quality broadband services to its customers. ON will deploy AIRCOM’s ASSET, CONNECT and MYRIAD tools as a comprehensive radio network planning service for the initial design and tuning of its LTE network.

AIRCOM will maximise spectral efficiency across ON’s network assets. It will then plan an aggressive wider network roll out, governed by strict parameters ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.

“Working with AIRCOM, ON Telecom can be confident that it is delivering the best possible quality of service for high bandwidth mobile broadband services to its customers,” says Steve Roberts, Operations Director, ON Telecom.

“This is an exciting, green field opportunity for ON and we look forward to supporting its LTE network roll out,” says Alwyn Welch, CEO, AIRCOM International. “Brazil is enjoying a period of strong growth in mobile broadband connections and we’re working hard to ensure ON delivers a differentiated service quality in what is becoming a fiercely competitive market.”

By using a combination of AIRCOMS ASSET, MYRIAD and CONNECT tools ON can sustain superior customer experience. AIRCOM’s ASSET advanced network design and optimisation capabilities help mobile operators save both time and money during network deployment by automating time consuming tasks such as site configuration, traffic planning, network analysis, network dimensioning and parameter planning. MYRIAD is a sophisticated and versatile propagation model and CONNECT facilitates transmission network planning, mobile backhaul and microwave network planning as an ultimate integrated RF/TX platform.
