GE Provides High Efficiency for Data Centers with TLE Series UPS
· TLE Series UPS has Efficiency of up to 96.5 Percent in Double-Conversion Mode
· Provides Substantial Savings in Life Cycle Energy Cost for Data Centers
LONDON—November 15, 2012 — GE (NYSE: GE) today announced its new TLE Series Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with three-level converter technology. The TLE Series UPS provides mission-critical facilities such as data centers, hospitals and financial institutions with efficient, reliable, uninterruptible power in a compact size achieving up to 96.5 percent efficiency.
GE’s TLE Series with IGBT rectifier keeps supply networks clean, assuring an input power factor close to unity and total harmonic distortion (THDi) of less than 3 percent. With innovative three-level converter technology, the TLE Series UPS provides double conversion efficiency up to 96.5 percent with eBoost technology providing efficiency up to 99 percent.

For a typical enterprise-class data center with a 6-megawatt load, the TLE Series UPS has the ability to reduce annual energy consumption by more than 2 million kWh, or potentially $200,000 at $.10/kWh. Installation and maintenance for this new UPS is faster and easier due to its easy to reach front access design.
