NewPace’s innovative new ‘RCS as a Service’ enhances client compatibility
Addition of Jibe Mobile, Neusoft and WIT Software support positions NewPace as the leader in delivering rapid deployment, low investment RCS-e/joyn services.
UK, 26th June 2012 – NewPace Technology, a leading software engineering company supporting the mobile industry, has announced a trio of successful interoperability tests between NewPace’s RCS as a Service product and RCS-e/joyn clients from Jibe Mobile, Neusoft and WIT Software.
The new interoperability certification follows on from previous successful testing with the Solaiemes RCS API product line and places NewPace as the leader in offering hosted service as a viable alternative for mobile carriers seeking a rapid deployment, low investment approach to launching RCS-e/joyn services.
Rich Communication Suite (RCS) is a mobile industry standards effort led by the GSM Association (GSMA) that is designed to allow end-users the ability to use enhanced messaging options with one another regardless of phone type or mobile carrier. The technology combines voice, presence, status, instant messaging/texting, buddy lists, media sharing, conferencing and video chat into one service on a mobile handset without the need for third-party software and downloads.
NewPace Technology launched its Rich Communication Suite solution at Mobile World Congress 2012 with the first low-cost, low-risk hosted RCS solution. The NewPace solution is the first to operate without the requirement of an IMS core and been has tested all aspects of its hosted solution with these industry leading clients including 1:1 chat, group chat, video share, file and image transfer.
NewPace is continuing to test compatibility between its RCS as a Service product and a wider range of clients with further announcements to follow.
