Orange wins Best Global Wholesale Carrier award at Capacity Awards 2012

The Capacity Awards celebrate innovation, excellence and vision throughout global wholesale telecoms. For the 12th edition which took place on November 13th in Amsterdam, Orange took home the much-coveted Best Global Wholesale Carrrier award.

Alexandre Pebereau, Executive Vice President, International Carrier, France Telecom-Orange, commented, “it is a great honour to receive this prestigious prize on behalf of Orange. Orange has enjoyed a successful first semester 2012, recording significant levels of growth in its voice and data services above the wholesale market both in volumes and value. The wholesale teams have demonstrated huge creativity and boldly committed to extending operations, based on the Group leadership in the fields of networks, Internet access and international development.

Offering international brand and innovation, Orange pursues the development of wholesale advanced services at an accelerated pace. The judges singled out Orange latest wholesale innovative solutions: Multiservice IP eXchange to improve connectivity between networks for international traffic and @first, the first fully-integrated offer to protect operators’ revenues against fraudulent interconnect and revenue leakage. The jury, composed of telecoms analysts and industry experts, underlined the positive impact of Orange on the wholesale market.
