Wireless Broadband Alliance Announces Categories for Wi-Fi Industry Awards 2015

Awards to recognize and reward innovations and successes from across Wi-Fi ecosystem

Singapore and London – July 23rd  2015 – The Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA), the industry association focused on driving the next generation Wi-Fi experience, has announced that the WBA Wi-Fi Industry Awards 2015 are now open for entry. The awards recognize Wi-Fi innovations by operators, vendors, device manufacturers and innovations within the ecosystem.

The Wi-Fi Industry Awards are open to the entire industry and judged independently by a panel of esteemed analysts and industry experts. The awards will be presented to leading carriers in the Wi-Fi space at the gala awards dinner and networking event at the Wi-Fi Global Congress in San Jose in October 2015 at theCorinthian Grand Ballroom in downtown San Jose.

The categories now open for entry include:

1)      Best Wi-Fi Service

1a) Best Wi-Fi Network Operator

1b) Best High Density Wi-Fi Deployment in a Venue

1c) Best Wi-Fi Deployment in a City or Public Area

2)      Best Wi-Fi Network Technology

2a) Best Wi-Fi Network Infrastructure

2b) Best Wi-Fi Service Innovation

3)      Best Wi-Fi Service or Management Solution

3a) Best Wi-Fi Management Solution for a Service Provider

3b) Best Wi-Fi Service Solution for Best Wi-Fi Service Solution for Consumers or Enterprises

4)      Best Wi-Fi Device / Application

4a) Best Wi-Fi Enabled Consumer Electronics Device and /or Service

4b) Best Wi-Fi Enabled Device and/or Service for Vertical Markets

5)      Best New Venture

6)      Chairman Award – Operator Category

7)      Chairman Award – Technology Partner Category

The Chairman Awards are voted for by WBA Members, separate to the other entries, and recognize the impactful influences that have been driving key initiatives in the Wi-Fi ecosystem over the past 12 months. Candidates are nominated by the WBA membership, and should provide information that will demonstrate what kind of significant contributions their nominee has made to the projects and activities of WBA. The Chairman Awards are selected by the WBA Board members based on the 3 top nominations in each category, and presented by the Chair and Co-chair of the WBA on behalf of the WBA Board of Directors.

The deadline for submission is 17 August 2015.
