dwt win the battle of bands

The second annual RPI – X Factor, organised by utility and environmental consultancy Gemserv, was held at Cargo in London last week and so far has raised over £8,400 with funds still coming in for the nominated charities City Gateway and Tourettes Action UK.

Over 300 attended the utility sector battle of the bands on the 22nd of September 2011, including industry peers from DECC, Ofgem, ENA and UK Power Networks. Oil & Gas Agenda’s dwt were crowned the champions, beating bands from EDF in a close final. dwt will now record their own material at a studio, as part of their winners’ prize.

David Thorne, CEO, Gemserv said: “This year’s RPI – X Factor was a huge success, with so many people in the industry having a great night whilst supporting City Gateway and Tourettes Action – two very worthy  charities. Congratulations to dwt, the winners of the battle of the bands, and a big thanks to all the other bands who took part. Gemserv is glad that so many people in the industry came along to have fun!”

Belinda Sherlock, City Gateway, said “Last week’s event was brilliant and we have to give a big thanks to Gemserv, for all the time and effort that went in, and for supporting us! Those of us that came had an amazing time”.
