Global Research Firm Names NetCracker a Leader in Magic Quadrant for Operations Support Systems

NetCracker Evaluation Based on Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision

WALTHAM, MA — December 21, 2011 — NetCracker Technology announced today that Gartner Inc., the world-leading information technology research and advisory firm, has positioned NetCracker as a “Leader” in its Magic Quadrant for Operations Support Systems.

“We consider this recognition of NetCracker’s leadership a true testimonial of our core values,” said Sanjay Mewada, NetCracker’s Vice President of Strategy. “Solving our customers’ biggest challenges in the B/OSS domain has been our singular focus. As NetCracker expands its footprint into new areas, our commitment to innovation and customer focus will continue to drive our success and help meet the critical challenges facing today’s communications service providers.”

Gartner’s recently published report, “Magic Quadrant for Operations Support Systems,” evaluates the capabilities of vendors in the global market for OSS Service Assurance and Fulfillment in terms of their Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute. Vendors included in the Magic Quadrant are “those that offer multiservice and multitechnology, end-to-end solutions to the global market.”*

As stated in the report, “Leaders in this market have strong market presence and significant market share, most of them globally. All leading vendors portrayed in this Magic Quadrant have a comprehensive OSS offering and would still be Leaders even if they needed partners. They adopt a leading-edge position by offering comprehensive, pre-integrated, modularized TOMS suites. Beyond OSSs, all leading vendors encroach into the adjacent BSS and SDP markets. Leaders are well positioned with their current product and service portfolios and their strategies. They have a coherent vision that anticipates current and future requirements. Leaders may not offer the best solution for every type of CSP, depending on their business models and maturity. However, they have proven implementation viability and can achieve and sustain high-quality, low-risk deployments.” *

Select recent achievements that underscore NetCracker’s strength as an OSS provider as well as its commitment to the industry and its customers include:

Major Customer Wins and Implementation Successes: In 2011, NetCracker announced a dozen Tier 1 customer wins and implementations worldwide, highlighting the company’s growth and its unbroken record of implementation successes, including numerous large-scale, complex transformation projects for leading Tier 1 service providers.

Continuous Quality Improvement: NetCracker’s drive to improve its products and services was again recognized in mid–2011 when the company received the highest possible ratings from two leading industry standards bodies: CMMI Level 5 Appraisal of NetCracker’s Solution Delivery Division; and TM Forum Conformance Certification of NetCracker’s entire Telecom Operations and Management Solutions Suite, Release 8.2.

Acquisition of Subex Ltd.’s Activation Business: In September 2011, NetCracker purchased Subex Ltd.’s activation and provisioning assets, obtaining proven, scalable technology with rich functionality that customers and prospects expect as part of a fulfillment solution. In broader terms, this acquisition was yet another important milestone in NetCracker’s mission to deliver the most comprehensive and innovative end-to-end Telecom Operations and Management Solution portfolio to its customers.
