GREEN: ITALTEL OPENS AN ENERGY SERVICE CENTER FOR ENERGY MANAGEMENT

 

The new Service Center is active in Italtel’s Carini branch (in the province of Palermo) and offers Green Consulting. Energy efficiency, renewable energy and environmental monitoring are the new uses of the network.

 

Milan, 19 October 2011 – Italtel has created an Energy Service Center at its Carini (Palermo) branch to offer advanced monitoring, benchmarking and energy efficiency services in SaaS and managed mode to public or private companies, government agencies and utilities. The company has thus added to its traditional offer of professional services, network design and ICT solutions engineering, the new proposition of Green Consulting services for energy efficiency, renewable energy and environmental monitoring projects.

 

Energy is one of the components of the Smart Cities along with health care, security, mobility, education where the use of ICT can improve the quality of life and provide advanced applications and services to citizens and businesses.

 

As part of Energy Management said Gianluca Renoffio, Head of Innovation Solution Selling Market Unit of the Enterprise & Public Sector Italtel knows how to exploit their knowledge of networks, systems integration capability and ICT competence to carry out projects covering the entire chain and focus on energy saving, cost optimization and control, efficiency and management semplification. In our view, the different layers of technology and process that make up Smart Cities – including Energy Management – should be considered in an integrated manner to accompany the evolution of the way of providing or receiving services.

 

The company offers advanced solutions using an ecosystem of technological and scientific partners including companies engaged in energy services (ESCO Energy Service Company) which have the task of certifying the reduction in consumption and of working with a FTT (Funding through third parties) approach.

 

The Service Center offers services ranging from simple Monitoring, namely the continuous measurement of relevant parameters, acquired through the installation of sensors, to Energy Consulting in all phases of the efficiency process (audit, design and implementation of efficiency measures and energy upgrading, financing), from management of Energy Efficiency Certificates (white certificates) to the Compliance Checks, especially for government, in the execution of supply contracts and services (Decree 207/2010).

 

The Italtel Service Center is also able to perform the control and Monitoring of Renewable Energy Sources (solar, biomass) and Environmental Monitoring. The former in order to provide information to Smart Building Automation Systems, the latter is based mainly on two aspects: Industrial Safety and Environmental Sustainability, activities which are now economically possible through Wireless Sensor Network applications.

 

These solutions, which improve efficiency and management of buildings, work alongside the ability to build Green Data Centersolutions for public and private companies and to provide solutions to utilities for intelligent communication networks.
