GSA Announces a New Narrow Band Internet of Things Report

9th June 2016: Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) has published the first of a series of reports on the Evolution to Narrow Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT). The report, which will be updated quarterly, reports on the progress of NB-IoT in the 3GPP standards body and covers global trials and commercial roll out of this industry changing technology.

“Narrow Band IoT is reaching the final stages of the standardisation process that will bring a new chapter in the evolution of the mobile industry ,” said Joe Barrett, President, GSA. “We are moving into the realm of billions of connected devices and things that will impact multiple vertical markets and change how we work and play over the next 20 years. GSA is following this technology advancement and will track and report on the deployment experiences from the broad NB-IoT ecosystem.”
