GTS to build wide-area network for the Ministry of Justice in Poland

GTS Central Europe to build a data transmission network

GTS Poland will build a private, safe IP VPN network to connect the entities associated with the Ministry of Justice located throughout Poland. The project is strategically important to the flow of information between 483 locations of judicial units. Thanks to the service provided by GTS, the Ministry’s telecommunications costs, covered by the State Treasury and thus public funding, will be lower.

Warsaw, September 6th 2011, GTS Central Europe has won the tender to build a wide-area network announced for the Ministry of Justice in Poland. The contract for Euro 6 million was signed for the period of 3 years.

 

units handling Central Court Registers;

  1. Information Management Centers (IMC);
  2. accounting and human resources management system (ERP);
  3. central application SAWA and
  4. audio-video recording system of court hearings.

Moreover, GTS will ensure connection between:

  1. key nodes of the Ministry of Justice and VPN networks of units of the common courts;
  2. as well as courts of appeal, district and regional courts and organisational units of the Ministry of Justice.

The new network will be built using IP technology and have much better technical parameters compared to the previous solution which will be completely replaced by the GTS-provided technology.

GTS won the tender due to own superior solutions and competitive price, beating out numerous large telecommunications companies in Poland.
