MONTREAL, 9 June 2014 – This weekend,Infiniti Red Bull Racing, the four-time winners of the FIA Formula 1 Drivers’ and Constructors’ World Championship™, has won its first grand prix race in 2014. As an Infiniti Red Bull Racing Innovation Partner, AT&T* has been helping the Team collaborate and stay connected as they race to develop a winning car that meets these new challenges.

Through the recently expanded agreement, while retaining the network at the core of the Team’s IT infrastructure, the team has also looked into using new advanced communications services in other areas of its business.

Changes in Formula One regulations have required teams to build new cars that complement the smaller, more efficient, 1.6 litre turbo-charged V6 hybrid engine – a first for the sport, impacting the entire design of the cars.  AT&T has provided Infiniti Red Bull Racing with communications that are up to two and half times faster than the services used in 2013, to provide Infiniti Red Bull Racing with an advanced feedback system providing high-quality data on the car performance to aid improvements and decide on race strategy.

AT&T’s support over the last few years has impacted on many aspects of Infiniti Red Bull Racing’s operations. It’s a sport where speed matters most, and where hundredths of a second can mean the difference between winning and losing.
