Leadership Appointment to Support Strategy for Future Growth in Line with Business Demand

LONDON, UK – 14 March 2011 – Hitachi Consulting UK today announced the appointment of John O’Brien as Executive Vice President for the UK to drive the growth of its operations. Mr. O’Brien will focus on enhancing the company’s core business by further aligning with strategic alliances. In addition, Mr. O’Brien will be tasked with capitalising on new areas of market momentum and business growth within the company’s core competencies of Management Consultancy, Applications & Technology Solutions and Managed Services capabilities.

With a strong track record of business development, project delivery and practice leadership, Mr. O’Brien brings more than 25 years of senior consulting and executive management experience in the enterprise software industry to Hitachi Consulting UK. He joins from Capgemini plc, where he held the position of Vice President and leadership member of the Energy, Utilities and Chemicals Group (UK). Prior to that, Mr. O’Brien was a Partner in Ernst & Young’s Energy, Chemical and Utilities Markets Group and supported the BP audit team in re-developing their non-audit work. He also had a nineteen-year tenure at Accenture Ltd.
