How to bring true 5G broadband access indoors

by Stefan

Constant connectivity is an absolute necessity in today’s busy lifestyle, including throughout office buildings, multi-dwelling units (MDUs), and university, medical, and corporate campuses. Yet mid-band and higher frequencies do not penetrate building materials as much as lower frequencies. This means that signals from outdoor networks using the three 5G focused mid-bands get blocked by energy-efficient windows, neighboring buildings, walls, and other obstacles, and thus are less likely to provide service inside buildings.
