Huawei Announces 2015 H1 Business Results

[Shenzhen, China, 22 July 2015] Huawei announced its business results for the first half of 2015 on 20 July 2015. “In the first half of 2015, Huawei achieved stable and healthy growth in all of its three business segments,” said Huawei’s Chief Financial Officer Meng Wanzhou. “In the enterprise business, our innovative products and solutions have laid the foundation for building strong competitiveness and been widely recognized by customers, and we have started to experience accelerated growth. Thanks to the extensive application of our cloud computing, storage, agile network, and other flagship products and solutions in the smart city, finance, education, and ISP markets in and outside of China, our growth in the enterprise business began to pick up in the first half of this year.”

For the consumer business, Meng said Huawei’s high-quality products that offer a superior experience have been well received among consumers, and that the company has established and reinforced its brand image in the mid-range and high-end markets. “Huawei’s mid-range and high-end smartphones, Mate7 and P8 in particular, as well as Honor-branded phones, have made solid progress, helping us guarantee quality and sustainable growth in the consumer business,” she explained.

In the carrier business, according to Meng, Huawei has continued to strengthen its leadership advantages and enhance its future-oriented investment. It steered the development of next-generation network technologies such as software-defined and cloud computing, and drove the transformation of network architecture and operational models with its “SoftCOM” strategy centered on software-defined technology. “Investment continued to pour into 4G network construction in China. In addition, the growth in global data traffic drives investment in network capacity expansion, while carriers’ digital transformation pushes up investment in the ICT industry,” Meng said. “These factors helped us maintain steady growth in the carrier business.”

Meng added, “With Huawei’s well-balanced, worldwide presence, we are confident that we will maintain effective growth and steady and healthy development in all business segments in 2015.”

Looking ahead, Huawei strives to become a global leader in the ICT industry. Together with its customers and partners, Huawei is committed to promoting industry innovation and transformation, better serving our customers, and building a Better Connected World with its innovative ICT products, services, and solutions.
