Hungary’s TARR Selects Appear TV to Power New Multiscreen Services

 

Oslo, Norway, 29 September, 2014Appear TV, a leading global provider of next-generation video processing platforms for broadcast and IP television, today announced that TARR Kft., a leading Hungarian multi-service operator, has chosen to deploy systems from Appear TV to increase channel capacity and power its new linear multiscreen services.

The upgrade to its offering saw TARR deploy Appear TV’s UniversalPicture Perfect Transcoding Hardware integrated into the XC5000 Video Processing Platform to deploy 24 new channels for Multiscreen delivery. In addition new DVB-S/S2 satellite demodulators were added at its downlink site along with new Appear TV transcoding solutions to add additional broadcast channels to the TARR TV line-up. The installation was managed and integrated with existing TARR infrastructure by HFC Technics, a highly valued Appear TV business partner and experienced broadcast system integrator in Hungary.
