IBC 2016: Media Broadcast Satellite extends its platform services launching a new DVB-S2 platform on Hispasat 30° West
Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Madrid, September 13, 2016 – New and extended platform services for one of the leading pioneer in broadcast satellite services: Media Broadcast Satellite GmbH enforces its activities to address the B2B market in Europe with the launch of a new DVB-S2 platform on Hispasat 30° W. An agreement has now been closed with the Hispasat Group, a world leader of distribution of Spanish and Portuguese content. This has been announced by both companies during this year IBC exhibition in Amsterdam.
With this additional orbital position, Media Broadcast Satellite complements its existing B2B business with a new and independent high-throughput platform in DVB-S2 standard. This marks a further step to guarantee a wide and satellite operator-neutral portfolio of satellite services to the customers. In combination with its DVB- and IP-platforms, with its encryption and playout technology, Media Broadcast Satellite is able to provide tailor made distribution solutions to satisfy the individual needs of the customers in this growing market. The heart of the new platform is located at Media Broadcast Satellite´s own teleport in Usingen (Germany, close to Frankfurt/Main), which is one of the safest and most professional teleports worldwide, offering outstanding security and reliability standards with highest levels of connectivity.
