Christian Morales is the Vice President of the Sales and Marketing Group and Co-General Manager of Intel Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He is responsible for Intel product sales and marketing in the EMEA region. Previously, he was general manager of Asia-Pacific Operations. Morales has held various senior management roles in sales, channel operations and general management including General Director for Latin America, Director for Spain and Portugal and, in Senior positions in Paris, managed Western Europe channels and OEMs. He has been based in Madrid, Paris, and São Paulo.Morales earned a degree in engineering from the Electricity, Mechanics and Electronics Engineering School in Paris and completed the Young Managers Program in the MBA program at INSEAD.

The impact of mobile wireless technology upon our lives is growing. It is driving the growth of the ICT sector, of many businesses and of emerging economies. There will soon be billions of wireless devices – notebooks, PDAs, cell phones – accessing the Internet. Around the globe, users now depend upon anywhere, any time communications. Wireless networks are growing rapidly; we can expect that, in a few years, we will all be connected, wherever we are, to a pervasive global network.

Against the backdrop of a troubled global economic environment, the past few years have been difficult and challenging for business in general and the ICT sector in particular. With the emphasis on protecting profitability, many businesses have focused more on cutting costs and investment than upon looking at ways to innovate, to gain competitive advantage, and win market share.
