Using XConnect’s Do Not Originate (DNO) data, IDT Global can effectively identify and block spoof calls
London, UK, 10 January 2023 – XConnect, a Somos Company, the provider of world-class numbering intelligence solutions, has partnered with IDT Global, the wholesale voice and SMS division of IDT Corporation, a global provider of communications services, to utilise XConnect’s RealNumber DNO database that contains over 6 billion local and toll-free numbers in North America. With strengthened global number intelligence, IDT Global can enhance its US customers’ voice experience with better protection from fraudulent calls.

RealNumber DNO includes numbers which should never be used for call origination, helping to prevent telecom fraud on known inbound-only and invalid numbers. With access to RealNumber DNO, IDT Global can identify certain invalid calls and increase the quality of its traffic. With daily updates, the data covers toll/local and toll-free numbers in North America to give IDT Global a comprehensive and trusted added layer of defence in its role as a gateway operator.

The latest partnership extends XConnect’s optimisation of IDT Global’s SMS messaging business using global number intelligence, including its Mobile Number Portability (MNP) data.
