Indosat launches Indonesia’s fastest LTE service: ‘SUPER 4G-LTE’

As part of its47th anniversary celebrations, Indosat, member of Ooredoo Group, last week announced the launch of Indonesia’s fastest LTE service, “SUPER 4G-LTE” offering speeds of up to 185Mbps.

This marks thecompletion of the Company’s network modernization network program in 23 cities nationwide, making Indosat’s telecommunicationnetwork ready for “Super 4G-LTE” and boosting quality of connection and mobile surfing speeds for its customers.

Across its footprint Ooredoo already provides 4G LTE services in Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and the Maldives, and is adding additional network resources for 2G and 3G customers across its international footprint.

Indosat has always endeavoured to stay ahead of its in-market competition by providing the best in user experience. The network journey started with Indosat providing “Indosat Super 3G+” with speeds of up to 7.2Mbps.  This was then followed by the “Indosat Super WiFi” service in 8 cities with speeds of up to 20Mbps.  The story continues with Indosat’s network modernization project where Indosat introduced “Super Internet” using U900 & DC-HSPA+ technology in 23 cities offering speeds of up to 42Mbps.  For users this means that indoor & outdoor coverage is much better, improving call quality as well as data speeds. The journey does not end there but continues with our “Super 4G-LTE” which offers speeds of up to 185Mbps, the fastest LTE in Indonesia.
