  • The presentation will explore two key drivers of demand for DAS and small cell solutions, including the coverage needs of large venue owners in the healthcare, education and entertainment industries as well as the challenges faced by carriers when it comes to offloading large users from the macrocell.
  • In addition to core business development, Mr. Meierdirk is also responsible for INOC’s extensive Professional Services portfolio, including overseeing various facets of process development, business planning and project management.

Joining Mr. Meierdirk on the Northeast DAS and Small Cell Association’s panel will be Doug Wiest, EVP of Wireless Services at EdgeConneX, and Business Development Director for National Accounts at Taqua, LLC, Jorge Forero.  The presentation will explore two key drivers of demand for DAS and small cell solutions, including the coverage needs of large venue owners in the healthcare, education and entertainment industries as well as the challenges faced by carriers when it comes to offloading large users from the macrocell.  The panel takes place Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM local time in room 3b.

An industry veteran, Mr. Meierdirk has more than 35 years of telecommunications and data communications experience.   As Senior Director of Business Services for INOC, he is focused on developing markets for Wireless and Fiber Networks worldwide.  In addition to core business development, Mr. Meierdirk is also responsible for INOC’s extensive Professional Services portfolio, including overseeing various facets of process development, business planning and project management.  Prior to joining INOC in 2003, he held various roles in product, program and outside plant management at AT&T and Tellabs, where he was involved in the sale and deployment of voice and data services for service providers and enterprise business networks worldwide.  Mr. Meierdirk is also an active supporter of industry groups including Bellcore, the Stentor Alliance, the RBOCs, SCTE and various standard-writing organizations.
