FORT MYERS, Fla. and LIMERICK, IRELAND— Sept. 16, 2013—Interop Technologies, a provider of core wireless solutions for advanced messaging, over-the-air (OTA) handset management, and connectivity gateways, and Tango Telecom, a provider of highly scalable policy and charging control solutions, today announced a partnership to provide a cloud-based policy and charging control solution to United States-based mobile network operators. The technology enables operators to monetize growing demand for mobile data while optimizing their use of network resources.
With an extensive range of revenue-generating use cases available out of the box, the Interop-Tango Telecom policy control platform helps operators improve profitability while enhancing the subscriber experience. For example, operators can offer multiple device or family plans that let subscribers allocate a percentage of their monthly data pool to different devices or family members. Other use cases include support for service tiers, parental controls, prepaid mobile broadband passes, and subscriber rewards programs, among others.
The feature-rich, cloud-based platform enables operators to benefit from quality of service control and other policy services without the CAPEX required for an in-network solution. The highly flexible, standards-compliant technology enables operators to bundle multiple use cases and can be seamlessly integrated with operators’ charging infrastructure. The solution also includes a feature-rich subscriber self-care application that can be customized for individual operators.
