Italtel collaborates to the celebration of the national event dedicated to Military Forces – “Giornata delle Forze Armate” – with the realization of a Wi-Fi Area in the Circo Massimo venue in Rome. Visitors will have free access to Wi-Fi services thanks to a Mesh network provided by Italtel.
Rome, October 28 2010 – Italtel, leader in the development and integration of Next Generation IP Networks and Services, realized with Cisco the Wi-Fi coverage of the whole Circo Massimo historical area that on November, 4 will host the celebration events of the “Giornata delle Forze Armate”, officially opened by Mr. Giorgio Napolitano, Italy President.
Italtel completed several projects for Italian Defense Ministry: thanks to this experience and to its competence in the design and implementation of networks and services with high security standards, the 3rd Reggimento Trasmissioni of Italian Army assigned Italtel the realization, with Cisco, of a Mesh network for the 2010 edition of the event.

For the Wi-Fi coverage of the Circo Massimo area, Italtel realized 4 access points and developed an innovative procedure that allows visitor to register, authenticate and access services while respecting privacy and security aspects.
