ITC Infotech Announces Consumer Goods BPS

Offering Powered by Oracle

September 20, 2013: ITC Infotech, a leading global IT services and solutions company and fully owned subsidiary of ITC Ltd, today announced a new Consumer Goods Business Process Services (BPS) offering “Powered by Oracle” and based on Oracle’s Comprehensive Trade Management (CTM) solution.  ITC Infotech is a Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork.

The Oracle CTM solution is built on Oracle’s proven and highly robust Siebel Trade Promotion Management solution which is primarily utilised for managing promotions and funds, settling claims and forecasting sales and liabilities. ITC Infotech has further complemented Oracle’s Siebel platform with predictive trade planning, real-time ‘what-if’ scenario planning and consumption-based volume planning capabilities. This will allow companies to leverage a complete Trade Management solution that combines trade promotion execution with trade promotion ‘planning’ and monitoring. The CTM solution will enable Consumer Goods companies to optimize their trade promotion ROI, increase trade spend efficiency, help improve sales forecasting accuracy and deliver joint business planning with their retail customers.

Organizations today are looking to reduce costs while operating more efficiently, leading many to sign up for non-core and specialized business process services, such as logistics and transportation management, accounts payable and receivables, human resource administration, or learning management. With the combined Oracle and partner service, customers can focus more on their business challenges and innovation, instead of day-to-day operations or IT management.

Mr. Bernard Goor, Vice President – Retail, Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas, Resources and Process Industries, Oracle said, “Oracle is committed to delivering value and efficiency to both our partners and the joint customers we serve. By leveraging Oracle’s extensive network of partners who deliver business process services ‘Powered by Oracle,’ customers gain the combined benefit of Oracle’s leading stack of technology and applications and specific partner expertise in the business processes they choose to subscribe to.  Oracle Comprehensive Trade Management solution in combination with the industry and process  expertise of ITC Infotech customers can increase trade planning process agility and effectively manage spend.”

ITC Infotech will make the CTM solution available in the cloud with managed technical services and business services.  The ITC Infotech cloud solution will be built on Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle Exalytics and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud, and will be available on a subscription-based pricing model.

Mr. L N Balaji, President – North American Operations, ITC Infotech, said, “The Oracle CTM platform is a leader worldwide and we are glad to further strengthen our relationship with Oracle through the launch of our CTM solution. This solution offers increased trade spend efficiency and more insightful category management recommendations. This can result in better collaboration and relationships with customers. We expect it will immensely benefit companies in the Consumer Goods, Durables, Hi-Tech and Consumer Healthcare sectors, and in general all companies that manage brands and promotions”.

ITC Infotech brings domain expertise and vast experience in the Consumer Goods Trade Promotion Management solutions space. Their CTM solution offers a host of benefits for customers seeking to implement on a Cloud/SaaS Model or on the traditional On-premise model.  ITC Infotech also brings to the table its global delivery capability to enable reduced implementation time and cost along with ongoing technical and business support services. In addition, ITC Infotech has the expertise to implement the Oracle CTM best-practices based solution at nearly half the time and cost of a typical implementation.
