KCOM Group gets Cisco seal of approval

Award recognises Kcom reputation as leading cloud based provider

4 July 2013: Kcom’s commitment to developing and delivering cloud based services was recently recognised at Cisco’s Partner Summit in Boston.

Kcom, part of the KCOM Group, was awarded Cisco’s UK and Ireland Cloud Services Partner of the Year Award, recognising the work that Kcom has done in recent months to deliver Workplaces, a cloud based solution designed to support innovation, improve customer service strategies and support business collaboration.

Sally Fuller, Director of Strategic Propositions at Kcom, says: “We’re delighted to have been recognised for our commitment to developing and delivering a cloud based solution based around Cisco’s technology. Customers we’ve spoken to are really excited about the capability that our Workplaces services can offer them”, she says. “CIOs are experiencing huge challenges such as having to refresh ageing infrastructures, drive innovation and adopt technology to create a much more flexible and agile workforce. This usually comes at a very high cost. Workplaces is a cost effective way to address these challenges, whilst giving them the opportunity to be innovative, as well as use IT to drive change within their organisation.”

Sally added: “This award shows that the work we’ve done to develop these new services is paying off and Kcom is establishing a leading position on cloud based services.”

Richard Roberts, Director, Partner and Commercial Organisation at Cisco, says: “Cisco is proud to announce Kcom as the UK and Ireland Cisco Cloud Services Partner of the Year; it’s a wonderful achievement for an organisation that has worked very closely with Cisco and has been able to develop such an innovative, successful and market leading cloud collaboration and contact centre solution.”

Kcom also recently received a Cisco Powered Service Designation from Cisco’s Cloud and Managed Services Partner Programme; official approval that Kcom can deliver Hosted Collaboration Services (HCS) and HCS for Contact Centre Service solutions that form Workplaces.

Following a recent audit, Cisco commented on the fact that Kcom has “well managed and elegant cloud offerings.”

These two certifications add to Kcom’s existing suite of Cisco powered services. Others include, Cisco Business Communications and Cisco Unified Contact Centres.
