KDDI and Telehouse launch Telecloud

New portfolio of enterprise Cloud solutions deployed within Telehouse’ state-of-the-art data centres

Telehouse, a leading provider of global data centres and managed ICT services, together with parent company, Japanese telecommunications giant KDDI, has launched a portfolio of enterprise Cloud solutions deployed within its state-of-the-art, highly secure data centres.

The Telecloud portfolio of flexible services range from the provision of Cloud infrastructure, managed private Cloud environments, a public virtual data centre (Telecloud Shared VDC), storage and disaster recovery and Software-as-a-Service solutions.

Mr Tokuji Mitsui, Managing Director of KDDI and Telehouse Europe, stated: “Telecloud is a joint venture between two industry leaders. It marks the next stage in the evolution of Europe’s first purpose-built data centre provider and a step forward for the cloud industry. The data centre is at the heart of a cloud solution making the physical infrastructure the integral role in maintaining the reliability and accessibility of a company’s application. That is why the partnership of Telehouse and KDDI brings a new unique perspective to the cloud market.”

According to latest research carried out by the Cloud Industry Forum, 53% of organisations polled have adopted some cloud solution with flexibility and cost-savings as the major drivers. When asked about the concerns in migrating to the cloud, management identify data security (64%), data sovereignty (62%) and dependency on internet access (50%) as the three major issues.

Nick Layzell, Head of System Integration and Cloud Solutions, KDDI, added:

“A number of our customers who could not compromise on reliability, security and latency have turned to us to provide them with a private cloud solution hosted from a securely protected environment. Over 20 years of experience in giving businesses the confidence to trust third party vendors with their mission-critical applications, positions Telecloud as an ideal cloud migration partner.”

Telehouse and KDDI will be exhibiting at Cloud Expo Europe on the 25th and 26th January at

National Hall, Olympia, London on Stand 891. Members of the team will be at the booth to answer questions and discuss cloud solution requirements.
