November 12, 2013 – Kodak Alaris’ Document Imaging Division today announced the latest release of its award-winning KODAK Capture Pro Software. Featuring mark detection and an expanded range of output options, KODAK Capture Pro Software v4.5 helps customers simplify capture, automate indexing and maximize software connectivity for a wide range of centralized and distributed scanning applications.

The latest addition to Kodak Alaris’ flagship capture suite, Capture Pro Software v4.5 (www.kodak.com/go/CaptureProNews) quickly and efficiently converts forms and business documents into high-quality images and data required for use in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and business applications.

Capture Pro Software already benefits tens of thousands of users in a wide range of capture environments, from departmental to production workflows, by accelerating critical business applications including accounts receivable, claims processing, mailroom and back-file conversion, using a large number of document scanners from Kodak Alaris and other manufacturers.

The new version, available starting November 2013, includes many of the features that made Capture Pro Software a winner of BLI’s 2013 Winter Pick Award, with significant new customer benefits related to the indexing and connectivity of the software.

Applications involving forms, such as job applications or surveys, feature mark detection that enables users to detect and capture checkmarks and populate corresponding index fields. Capture Pro Software v4.5 also makes it easier to locate and navigate to desired content in PDF files by enabling the creation of PDF bookmarks when outputting multiple documents into a single PDF file. Capture Pro Software v4.5 expands its connectivity options to enable output to secure FTP sites, ALFRESCO, KODAK Info Activate Solution and KODAK Info Insight Platform. The new version offers enhanced Microsoft SharePoint connectivity with support for SharePoint 2013 and third-party document libraries.

Capture Pro Software v4.5 makes it simpler to track productivity or create billing statements by collecting all batch statistics in a single Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) database, a feature that will particularly benefit service providers. Users will also see more productivity from their Auto Import function which will now run as a service, providing true operator independence.

Kodak Alaris offers Software Assurance for KODAK Capture Pro Software v4.5, which includes software updates, version upgrades at no additional charge, technical support and other resources for businesses to ensure their software investment serves their needs.
