LIME SUPPLIES VIDEOCONFERENCING SERVICES TO CARICOM

Cable & Wireless Communications’ Caribbean business, LIME has been chosen to implement videoconference facilities for the Caribbean Community Secretariat (CARICOM)

– the Caribbean’s main inter-governmental grouping.

LIME will connect CARICOM offices across 13 countries in which the organisation operates: Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, St Kitts, St Lucia, St Vincent, Belize, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad, and Haiti.

The high-definition videoconference service will enable CARICOM staff to communicate across the region with face-to-face meetings supported by the latest videoconferencing tools.

David Shaw, Chief Executive Officer of LIME, commented:

“Videoconferencing is a new area of growth for LIME and complements our position as the leading enterprise solutions provider in the region. Videoconferencing is a valuable business tool in the Caribbean, reducing the challenges of travelling between countries.”

LIME will also be providing training for users of the new systems.

LIME began providing videoconferencing services in 2011. The International Monetary Fund was one of its first customers.
