Despite the slow rollout of 5G, at least from the consumer’s point of view, it isn’t too soon to be talking about 6G and laying the foundations for its future. Each next generation of wireless technology has to build on the developments of the previous generation, so the long-term roadmap has to be set out now, even while 5G still has a way to go. And, as 5G’s potential is gradually unlocked and new use cases emerge, the path for 6G will become increasingly clear.
