First Commercial 4G LTE Deployment in North America
Asia Pacific – October 19, 2010 – Bridgewater Systems (TSX: BWC), the mobile personalization company, today announced that MetroPCS Communications Inc. has launched the Bridgewater® Home Subscriber Server (HSS) and Policy Controller (PCRF) to deliver 4G LTE services.

§ MetroPCS is at the forefront of delivering advanced 4G LTE broadband services such as high-speed video, multimedia and social networking with recent network launches in Las Vegas and Dallas/Fort Worth markets.
§ Bridgewater is supplying its independent, high performance control plane to manage mobile data traffic, subscribers, devices and applications and personalize services for MetroPCS’ 4G LTE network. This includes:
o The Bridgewater Policy Controller, which supports 3GPP PCRF Release 7, 8 and 9 standards on the same platform, provides real-time network, application, and subscriber policies to manage mobile data growth and deliver personalized services; and
o The Bridgewater Home Subscriber Server, a master repository that contains subscriber and device profile and state information, and manages subscriber identities, service profiles, authentication, authorization, and quality of service in real time.
