Mimecast channel growth gathers pace with new partnerships

Cloud email specialist finding increasing support for its email security solutions

London; UK – 28th February 2012 – Mimecast®, the leading supplier of cloud-based email archiving, continuity and security for Microsoft Exchange and Office 365, today announced it has continued to gather momentum in the security channel by signing a number of significant new channel partnerships. These include Infosec Technologies, Security Partnerships, and LIMA Networks. Mimecast’s ability to tailor and structure bespoke proposals to meet the needs of each partner was the deciding factor for many of its new resellers.

Mimecast has also penned new partnerships with Microsoft partners Content and Code, Parative Ltd, and Polymorph Ltd, all of whom are working with Mimecast to help more customers migrate to Exchange 2010 and Office 365.

Nessa Lynchehaun, European Channel Director, Mimecast, said: “Mimecast is fast becoming the credible vendor of choice because we build all of our technology. Both customers and partners are beginning to realise that this is far less of a risk for them than choosing a vendor that does not own the technology it is selling. This has contributed to a great few months for Mimecast. We take pride in being the vendor that presents a human face to cloud computing and we are always striving to make our customer service second-to-none.”

Pete Sherwood, Managing Director, Infosec Technologies, explained: “Prior to the recent announcement by Webroot, we conducted a thorough review of the email security-as-a-service market. Mimecast is renowned within the industry, will offer our Webroot customers ease of data migration and is a great fit for our business moving forward. We look forward to building a close partnership with them over the coming years.”

Justin Fielding, Chief Technology Officer at existing partner IT Lab, comments: “Being a business which relies entirely on trust and excellent service, it is essential we work with vendors with a long term commitment to the market. We switched to Mimecast about two years ago and in that time have transitioned the vast majority of our customers onto the Mimecast email management service and all are very happy with it. It’s a partnership in the true sense of the word: we are now able to deliver our customer’s business critical services better, faster and more cost effectively and Mimecast makes it easy for us to do this. The icing on the cake in our relationship came when we were named the Mimecast Business Partner of the Year in 2011.”
