Minister of Information inaugurates new Nawras flagship store in Muscat

Muscat, 13 January 2013 – Nawras officially inaugurated its new concept flagship store at Muscat Grand Mall with a ceremony held under the patronage of H.E. Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour Al Hasani, Minister of Information. With the grand opening raising the bar for telecom retail in Oman, Chief Executive Officer, Ross Cormack, invited customers to experience the first in a new generation of Nawras stores.

After the ribbon cutting, Cormack said, “We are thrilled to introduce this store as the first of a new concept developed to bring the Nawras brand to life in vivid colour. It symbolises the vibrant and caring approach that is important in every aspect of our business. This one-stop shop is designed to help customers with all their communication needs whether at home, at work or on the move.”

The 400 square metres of floor space is dedicated to showcasing the latest products and services and providing customers with the opportunity to try products and learn about the many advantages that Nawras offers. Customers can choose from options for ‘At Home’, ‘On the Go’ or ‘Fun and Social’. Business customers can instantly activate new products in store or make use of the private meeting room to learn how Nawras works hard to help their business grow.

A free WiFi hotspot invites customers to feel the incredible speed of the turbocharged Nawras 3G+ broadband service by using their own handset or the devices provided. Smartphones and tablets are displayed and, like the Nawras Home Broadband modem, they can all be tested in-store.

This new and innovative Nawras store is the twenty eighth in the Sultanate. It is open from 10am until 10pm every day except Fridays when it operates from 2pm until 10pm.

Nawras, a Qtel Group company, began changing the communications landscape in Oman in 2005 and has continually evolved to enrich the daily lives of people in the Sultanate, with products and services offering great value and a rewarding customer experience. This unique and energising retail telecom experience is the latest location and designed to excite and delight customers with interactive displays and caring customer service.
