London, 12th March 2019: Mood Media, the world’s leading in-store media solutions company dedicated to elevating Customer Experiences, has announced the creation of its Advanced Solutions Group (ASG), starting with two new strategic hires. Joining the London international headquarters is Jonathan Wharrad, who now leads the Advanced Solutions Group team as Global Vice President, while Alexandre Gervais will lead Sales and Business Development from Mood Media’s Paris office.

The Advanced Solutions Group builds on Mood’s existing offerings and expertise in sight, sound, scent, social (mobile) and system solutions. Under Wharrad’s helm, the new team will develop interactive and sensory experiences for clients on a truly global scale – with a focus on the luxury retail, banking, insurance and automotive sectors, who will benefit from Mood’s global network of specialists across Customer Experience, design and technology. The Mood ASG brings together a collection of skills from Mood Media’s portfolio, including industry-leading digital media studio Technomedia and multi-channel content marketing company GoCo, as well as its notable global presence to deliver solutions at scale.

With 20 years’ experience in the technology and Customer Experience sectors, Jonathan Wharrad joins Mood Media from Grassfish and Moki, where he led the growth of Customer Experience software solutions to international scale. He has also co-founded and is executive director of a number of tech startups and gamification platforms. Brought in to bolster the leadership team as the business enters its next phase of growth, Wharrad will be responsible for Mood Media’s global brand expansion on visual solutions and developing the company’s capabilities to provide more specialised products and services for its clients.

“This is an incredible opportunity to take Mood’s existing offering to the next level and build relationships with some of the biggest brands across the globe. Our aim is to help brick and mortar retailers face the ever-evolving future of Customer Experience and engagement, with a focus on offering brand value in-store in a way that is genuinely scalable”, says Wharrad.

Wharrad will report into Simon Bexon, SVP Global Systems, Visual and Affiliate, and manage the ASG team across the Mood business.

The growing team has also added Alexandre Gervais, who brings with him  20 years of experience in sales, business development and marketing across retail design, customer journey and digital innovation. He joins Mood Media from leading French retail and design agencies such as Malherbe Paris and Market Value. In his new role, Gervais will manage c-level projects and negotiations, while taking charge of key French and international accounts including Nissan, Renault, Montblanc and PSA.

“I am delighted to be joining a company that is already seen as a market leader in its field” says Gervais. “The creation of the new team presents a unique opportunity to cement Mood’s expertise in audio-visual Customer Experiences, and I’m excited to be a part of this amazing challenge.”

“Both Jonathan and Alexandre bring a wealth of experience and incredible entrepreneurial zest to our businesses,” says Ken Eissing, President of Mood Media. “The creation of the Advanced Solutions Group and their appointments underline our capability and ambition to provide the best experiential solutions in the market on a truly global scale.”
