· Telenor Sweden selects the Ericsson Multiscreen TV solution for its customers, replacing the legacy platform

· Ericsson’s Multiscreen TV platform will provide the basis of Telenor Sweden’s future TV and media services

In response to the rapidly evolving TV market in Sweden, there is a need for operators to offer rich and immersive TV and media experiences to remain at the forefront of the industry. Telenor Sweden has partnered with Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) to address this and deliver the next generation, multi-screen TV experiences that consumers demand.

The systems integration and deployment of this solution will ensure that Telenor Sweden’s TV subscribers are able to enjoy a rich variety of interactive TV experiences across a complete range of devices, and will further advance the operator’s leading position in mobile, broadband and TV services.

The Ericsson Multiscreen TV solution will future-proof Telenor Sweden’s TV infrastructure and provide the cornerstone of the operator’s future video services. Providing its solution for multi-screen TV, as well as its consulting and systems integration expertise, Ericsson will help Telenor to expand its current TV offering with new enhanced TV services such as catch-up TV on multiple screens and devices, companion screen interaction with content for advanced search and social activity.
