Cypher and Cisco Collaborate to Deliver Breakthrough Background Noise Reduction for Cisco’s Instant Connect Solution
Demonstrate unique noise cancellation capabilities during Pepcom at
Mobile World Congress 2016
SALT LAKE CITY and BARCELONA, SPAIN, Feb 18, 2016 – Cypher, a leader in next-generation audio enhancement solutions for mobile communications, today announced that it is collaborating with Cisco Systems to implement its voice isolation software for use in the Cisco Instant Connect clients, which include municipalities and one-to-many first responders to whom communication and call clarity is paramount. Cypher is officially a CISCO Solution Partner. As a member of the Cisco® Solution Partner Program called Devnet, Cypher is able to quickly create and deploy solutions that enhance the performance of Mission Critical Push to Talk software such as Cisco Instant Connect.
Cypher will demonstrate how its technology isolates the voice and blocks out background noise in noisy environments during the Pepcom Mobile World Congress event, February 21, Barcelona, Spain, as well as throughout the show.
“At Cypher, we have spent the past three years perfecting a new method for achieving breakthrough voice isolation performance in noisy environments,” said John Walker, Cypher’s CEO and co-founder. “Cisco’s Instant Connect solutions are a perfect fit since they are often used for voice traffic by first responders in extreme environments where being understood can be a matter of the highest importance. By isolating specific elements of human speech, our technology can eliminate virtually all background noise, improving voice clarity and speech recognition performance in a much more affordable software-based solution.”
Cypher’s breakthrough approach uses math, neural networks and pattern matching techniques to detect and isolate the target speaker’s voice and ignore all other background noises.
Unlike traditional noise reduction methods and emerging HD voice technologies, Cypher’s patented technology does not rely on specific hardware, infrastructure upgrades or network compatibility. Instead, the software can be adapted to affordably operate on most of today’s popular mobile processors.
Cypher is a leader in delivering next-generation pattern recognition and audio enhancement solutions for mobile communications. Cypher software algorithms detect and separate acoustic signals on today’s mobile devices in real time, dramatically reducing background noise and significantly improving voice quality and intelligibility.
