Nawras launches Bulk SMS packages for SMEs with free trial and setup

Muscat, 4 December 2012 – Nawras, Oman’s customer friendly communications provider, has introduced convenient Bulk SMS services in a wider range of bundle sizes specifically to suit the needs of small and medium sized businesses (SMEs). Nawras Bulk SMS now offers customers cost effective messaging packages with just 1,000 or 3,000 messages each month and no setup cost or monthly fee.

The service is now rechargeable online and provides a simple and easy online tool for SMEs to dispatch messages directly to their own customers. Businesses can easily purchase new bundles using any local credit or internet card and most debit cards. Customers can also visit any of the 27 Nawras stores for an immediate recharge.

Besides the new recharge channels, Nawras has also redesigned the web-based access with many new features including a Microsoft Outlook® plug-in which makes sending an SMS as simple as sending an e-mail giving more options to help entrepreneurs grow their business. Message templates and groups can be created and activity reports generated whenever needed.

Nawras is currently offering customers the chance to try the service for free before buying any SMS credit. After registering at any Nawras store, customers get a free trial and gain access to a dedicated and secure website where SMS Bundles can be purchased in one, three, six or twelve month packages with messages costing as little as 3.7 Baisa.

Mohammed bin Jaffar Al Najwani, Nawras Business Data and Internet Products Manager, said, “We have listened to the requests of our customers to offer a more versatile messaging package that ideally caters for small businesses, entrepreneurs and home office ventures. With the new smaller message bundles, our customers can easily promote their products and services to their own customer base in Oman.”

He added, “Bulk SMS is personalised with the company name instead of a mobile number and can be used to arrange appointments and announce special offers, while storing all customer information in a secure database. Whether it is for a specific project or a sustained campaign, Bulk SMS offers a flexible, convenient and direct communication channel to help customers get more from their business.

Following a successful joint partnership between Grand Hyatt Muscat Hotel and Nawras Elite Programme, Christoph Franzen, Grand Hyatt Muscat General Manager commented on the new Bulk SMS business tool, “We have a longstanding partnership with Nawras. When we were first approached by Nawras to use this excellent marketing tool, we were delighted to be part of it. It allows us to target our communication instead of using a ‘blanket approach’. We are especially thrilled that Nawras, always keeping the customer first, listened to our feedback and an already great tool has now been made even better through our feedback.”

More information about this great value offer can be found online by visiting www.nawras.om/bulksms or at any Nawras store. Customers can also call 1503 to speak to a friendly Customer Champion.

Nawras, a Qtel Group company, provides a huge range of services designed to give customers value for money while meeting their ever changing communication needs for the office, at home or on the move.
