Muscat, 28 April 2012 – Nawras, Oman’s customer friendly telecommunications provider, will showcase new, fun and interactive games and live demonstrations of its latest products and services at the COMEX 2012 exhibition.

The vibrant and interactive Nawras stand, reflecting the company’s pleasingly different brand, will provide visitors with the opportunity to test and try out the latest 4G LTE technology, the next generation of high speed internet. Visitors will also be able to buy call time, pay bills, or sign up for new plans and bundles, as well as try out the fascinating features of a selection of new mobile devices.

The 180 square metre stand includes an online gaming booth connected with LTE technology, giving visitors the opportunity to try and beat the time of Nawras Brand Ambassador and Oman’s top racing driver, Ahmad Al Harthy. Nawras will also host Hala and Hi FM which will be broadcasting live from the stall at various intervals throughout the day as the stations tour the exhibition.

Nawras Protocol & Events Manager, Khalid Al-Zadjali, said, “At Nawras, we always strive to provide unique products and innovative services for our customers and COMEX offers the ideal platform to exhibit and demonstrate them to visitors. The exhibition is also an excellent opportunity for us to interact more closely with our customers and discuss how we can continue to meet their ever-changing needs and technological demands.”

As part of the selection of products and services being showcased by Nawras, corporate customers will have the opportunity to register for the Business Ajel Share, a recently launched postpaid tariff plan enabling cost effective sharing of voice minutes across a company.

Corporate visitors will also have the opportunity to apply for the Nawras Machine-to-Machine (nM2M) service. The Service facilitates any SIM card operated by internet based handheld or fixed device to communicate with other compatible devices of the same ability using the Nawras mobile network in a secured environment.

Oil and gas business customers in particular, will be able to learn more about Nawras VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal), which gives the freedom to connect to any remote site in Oman when terrestrial connectivity is not available or cannot meet communication requirements.
