Nawras wishes customers Ramadan Mubarak with new international 6+6 offer and extra value welcome packs

Muscat, 1 August 2011 – Nawras, Oman’s customer friendly communications provider, is greeting customers with a new offer and extra value in every welcome pack to wish Ramadan Mubarak  on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.  The new offers will enable customers to get closer during this special time with attractive international calling rates.

Following the overwhelming success of the previous international calling 6+6 offer, Nawras is delighted to be reintroducing this offer during the Holy Month of Ramadan so customers can benefit from six free calling minutes to greet family members and friends who are abroad.  The offer is applicable to every international call made for over six minutes.

All Nawras mobile customers, including business customers, can take advantage of this great offer at any time of the day or night making it easy to stay in touch despite being in different time zones.

To opt for this great offer and to receive the free international calling minutes, customers simply send ‘6’ to 80020.  The offer is applicable on all international calls made from a mobile number in Oman and can be enjoyed until 29 October 2011.

New customers are being welcomed to the Nawras family with some exciting offers too.  Nawras Mousbak (prepaid) welcome packs are just RO 2 including credit worth RO 2 as well as 150 free national SMS and 500 Baiza of credit for Nawras to Nawras calls.  The free credit and SMS may be used at any time.

Nawras Ajel (postpaid) welcome packs are also priced at only RO 2 and contain 100 free minutes as well as 100 free SMS.  This generous extra value adds up to RO 2.9, exceeding the actual welcome pack cost. The free calls and SMS are for Nawras to Nawras use and will be split over two months. Nawras Ajel customers enjoy a national calling rate of only 19 Baiza per minute as well as a useful variety of convenient payment options.

Announcing the reason behind the great offers, Nawras Head of Marketing Core Services, Aziz Al-Harrasi, said, “On the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, we want to celebrate by showing our sincere appreciation to every customer in the Nawras family by offering solutions to keep them closer to their family and friends during this Holy Month.”

In addition, Nawras customers can benefit from subscriptions to the Arabic Alafasy package which gives recitations of verses from the Holy Quran, prayers, and sayings of the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon Him) as well as the latest poetic recitations from Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy.  All this is available for only 300 Baiza per week including five free MMS and a free SMS to download the content and save as an MP3 file.  To subscribe, an SMS with the letter D should be sent to 90920.
