Suddenlink Signs Long-Term BSS Contract Extension With NetCracker Technology

NetCracker’s Innovative BSS Capabilities to Enhance Usability and Customer Experience

WALTHAM, MA — July 11, 2012 — NetCracker Technology announced today that Suddenlink Communications has signed a long-term contract extension for NetCracker’s converged BSS solutions.

Suddenlink is one of the leading Multiple System Operators (MSOs) in the United States, supporting the information, communication, and entertainment demands of approximately 1.4 million residential customers as well as thousands of commercial customers in areas that include Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, and West Virginia.

In addition to hosting its BSS solution, NetCracker is providing Suddenlink with secure SOA standards-based web services that improve access to billing and customer data through interfaces with external applications, such as web portals, IVRs, and mobile devices. Direct and immediate access to this data in a secure manner will enable Suddenlink to complete projects that require integration to the billing system faster, at less cost, and with fewer risks.

“We have already started to leverage NetCracker’s SOA-based web services to enhance the service experience when our customers contact us,” said Suddenlink Chief Information Officer, Bob Putnam. “We value our relationship with NetCracker and look forward to continuing to realize the benefits that its BSS web services have delivered for our business.”

“Over the past six years, our BSS solution has supported Suddenlink as they have grown their cable, Internet, and telephony services,” said Andrew Feinberg, President and CEO of NetCracker Technology. “Cultivating long-term partnerships like this is at the heart of NetCracker’s mission, and we will continue to provide Suddenlink with the solutions and support they need to achieve their business goals both now and in the future.”
