NetCracker?s BSS/OSS Solutions Enables Aggressive Market Launch for Bell Aliant

NetCracker Provides Core Applications for FTTH Expansion

NetCracker Technology announced today that Bell Aliant has gone live with an aggressive expansion of its FibreOP™ product, based on NetCracker’s BSS/OSS solutions. NetCracker provided the core application and support of the multi-vendor program, including end-to-end management of systems integration, testing, and execution for the FibreOP expansion.

Bell Aliant is one of North America’s largest regional telecommunications providers, serving 5.3 million Canadians across six provinces. The company has won multiple awards for its impressive fibre-to-the-home network, FibreOP.

NetCracker is a strategic partner in two key domains:

  • BSS/OSS Applications: NetCracker’s BSS/OSS footprint for the FibreOP initiative covers CRM, Customer Information Management, CSR Desktop, Trouble Ticketing, End-to-End Order Management (including product, service, and resource catalogs), Service Inventory, Service Provisioning, Resource Management, and Workforce Management.
  • Systems Integration and Professional Services: NetCracker provided support and professional services for the program including design, integration, deployment, and testing of the entire customer to service to resource fulfillment process.

“At the start of our FibreOP expansion project in Sudbury, ON, we set very aggressive timelines for ourselves and our strategic partners,” said Ivan Toner, Vice President, Information Technology and Services Engineering, Bell Aliant. “NetCracker delivered on the vast scope of the project in eleven months, meeting all performance and delivery criteria. The company’s track record and its demonstrated ability to execute are the reasons we chose NetCracker to be the supplier of choice, not just for the BSS/OSS applications, but for the SI services and program leadership as well.”

“Over the course of this program, we have developed a very strong relationship with Bell Aliant, and this has resulted in the company placing a large amount of trust in us as the lead provider of BSS/OSS applications,” said Andrew Feinberg, President and CEO of NetCracker. “We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Bell Aliant and will continue to leverage our world-class program management and SI capabilities as well as the strength of our comprehensive, next-generation BSS/OSS solutions suite to make Bell Aliant’s FibreOP rollout a success.”
