Hailo Waves Goodbye To Sage In Favor Of NetSuite To Drive International Growth

— Company Behind Famous Taxi Smartphone App Relies on NetSuite OneWorld for Global Business Management

LONDON and SAN MATEO, California, July 25, 2013 – NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry’s leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites, announced today that Hailo (www.hailocab.com), maker of a rapidly growing international taxi app, has moved from Sage Line 50 to NetSuite OneWorld. Hailo selected NetSuite OneWorld to consolidate all of its global accounting systems across seven subsidiaries onto a single platform, enabling Hailo to rapidly add new subsidiaries in line with its ambitious expansion plans. With NetSuite OneWorld, Hailo can easily manage financial consolidation, multi-currency, reporting, multi-language and multi-taxation all in one unified cloud business management system.

Hailo enables people to hail a licensed cab with just two taps on their smartphone, bringing the taxi experience into the 21st century. Launched in late 2011 in London, Hailo has already expanded into Boston, Chicago, Washington, New York, Toronto, Cork, Dublin, Barcelona, and Madrid. Building on this success, the company is looking to expand into dozens of cities over the next 12 to 18 months. Moving from Sage’s on-premise solution to NetSuite’s OneWorld is crucial to achieving this ambition.

NetSuite OneWorld is the first cloud software solution to deliver real-time global business management and financial consolidation to rapidly growing organisations with multi-national and multi-subsidiary operations. It enables businesses to automate complex, mission-critical business processes in the cloud from ERP, to CRM, to Ecommerce. NetSuite OneWorld readily handles different currencies, taxation rules, and reporting requirements at a fraction of the cost of traditional on-premise ERP solutions.

“Pulling business information together from multiple systems including Sage and QuickBooks from our offices around the world was a painstaking task. It took the team ten or so days of manual spreadsheet entry to generate a month-end report which was far too slow, not to mention the worry of manual errors,” explains Nick Lally, Financial Director at Hailo. “We quickly realised that the Sage and QuickBooks solutions weren’t going to scale with our growth plans, but NetSuite could. NetSuite OneWorld is run entirely in the cloud, just like the rest of our business, making us much more agile and saving us the money and time that would be spent on maintaining hardware and IT specialists. I can rest easy knowing we have a single global system that can rapidly scale up to meet our ambitious growth plans, enabling us to set up and run new subsidiaries in just a few clicks, while also supporting local currencies and complying with financial legislation.”

“We were also really impressed with the speed of the NetSuite implementation. We were live within three months of signing on the dotted line, which is at least three times faster than what we would have expected for an equivalent on-premise solution. This meant we could grow even faster than we originally anticipated. For a fast-moving international business like us, NetSuite is perfect,” continued Lally.

Peter Daffern, President of EMEA and Executive Vice President of Verticals, NetSuite, said: “NetSuite has spent 15 years building its solutions with cloud computing at its heart and we are seeing more and more organisations move to the cloud as they realise the restrictions that on-premise solutions such as Sage bring in terms of international growth and business efficiency. NetSuite OneWorld can enable Hailo to focus on strategic challenges, such as new market opportunities, rather than spending days on data consolidation and reporting. NetSuite’s scalability means that Hailo will always have a solution which can grow with the company.”

Today, more than 16,000 companies and subsidiaries depend on NetSuite to run complex, mission–critical business processes globally in the cloud. Since its inception in 1998, NetSuite has established itself as the leading provider of enterprise–class cloud financials/ERP suites for divisions of large enterprises and mid-sized organisations seeking to upgrade their antiquated client/server ERP systems. NetSuite excels at streamlining business operations as demonstrated in a recent Gartner study naming NetSuite as the fastest growing financial management software vendor on a global basis. NetSuite continues its success in delivering the best cloud ERP/financials suites to businesses around the world, enabling them to lower IT costs significantly while increasing productivity, as the global adoption of the cloud is accelerating.
