New billing method for web and mobile content:

DIMOCO offers gateway billing to all network operators in Austria for the first time

Brunn am Gebirge, 30 June 2011 – DIMOCO http://www.dimoco.at, the leading provider of mobile transaction processing in the CEE countries, is now offering mobile payment processing for the first time via the billing interfaces of all four network operators in Austria. To date, gateway billing has only been available on a separate basis; now, the DIMOCO Mobile Messaging and Payment Transactions Hub has been implemented area-wide. Billing digital merchandise – regardless whether mobile content or web content – via the billing gateways is a decided advantage with respect to flexible pricing and service set-up. Together with the Austrian network operators, DIMOCO provides different payment methods for mobile content or web content to best meet the content providers’ different needs and requirements in these fields. DIMOCO has consistently followed the strategy introduced at the beginning of this year, thereby strengthening its position as a competent and versatile mobile payment operator for digital merchandise provided via cell phones and the web. DIMOCO’s customers include companies in all industries, for example online-media companies, app developers or companies operating in the new and booming fields of virtual merchandise in browser games and social networks.

As of immediately and for the first time in Austria, DIMOCO is offering gateway billing Austria-wide.  „With this type of billing we have demonstrated the continuous development of our DIMOCO hub“, confirms Gerald Tauchner, DIMOCO CEO, adding: “The completed implementation of the gateway billing interfaces to all Austrian network operators has created the opportunity to use this type of billing Austria-wide for the first time. This makes us the first to be able to provide our customers in the virtual and digital internet merchandise sector a complete and flexible payment method with the best conditions“. Prior to this, the service was only available separately to cellular operators in the country.

The Advantages of Gateway Billing

When choosing DIMOCO gateway billing, companies opt for a flexible billing method by which consumers can buy digital content via mobile portals or on the web with just one click. The order (so-called opt-in method) can be placed via text message or on the mobile or classic Web depending on the requirements of the service provider. The payments are processed with the consumer’s existing cellular payment plan. This means that the transaction is not carried out by means of a value-added SMS but via the DIMOCO hub’s direct connection to the network operators’ billing systems. This billing connection offers content providers the advantage of providing service set-ups and transaction processing that were not possible with the formerly standard method of value-added SMS. For the consumer, gateway billing provides more convenience when ordering services, while companies can benefit from a higher conversion rate as well as tariff models ranging from EUR 1 up to EUR 100 per transaction.

Digital content requires customized conditions and a fast, simple billing method

With the rapidly growing digital content market – whether on the web or in the form of mobile content – comes the need for fast, simple payment methods. By implementing the billing gateway interfaces, DIMOCO can now offer its customers customized web content conditions with all network operators in Austria for the first time. All that business customers need to perform transactions via the DIMOCO Hub is a single technical interface.
