Rugged Computer Maker Handheld Beefs Up Organization for Continued Expansion: PwC Veteran Thomas Björkman Elected New Chairman of the Board
[Lidköping, Sweden, March 31, 2015.] Mr, Thomas Björkman has been elected Chairman of the Board of the Handheld Group, a leading global manufacturer of rugged mobile computers. Mr. Björkman has a university degree in economics and has worked as a certified accountant with PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) for 27 years. “An invaluable asset for us in our continued expansion”, said the group’s founders and majority owners.
Thomas Björkman, economist and adviser, is a new member and chairman of the board of the Handheld Group. He has a degree in economics and business administration from the Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law, and has worked as a a certified accountant with PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), one of the largest professional services companies in the world. His career at PwC started in the 1980’s and between 2009 and 2013 he was also a member of the board of PwC Sweden.
