Operators Gain Complete Control of Financial Clearing Process
Zurich, Switzerland, 30 January, 2014 – STARHOME MACH, the global leader in market-driven network and clearing house services for the mobile industry, has launched a new financial clearing solution giving operators new levels of control, visibility, and efficiency. Commercially operational since January 1st 2014, the system is already clearing thousands of transactions for major operators.
The new Financial Clearing solution guarantees transparency and traceability for all transactions via integration with the STARHOME MACH Business Management solution (Unity). The result is a clear, actionable view of each stage of the clearing and settlement process, including easy operator approval or rejection of invoices, credits/debits notes, and payments. All actions of the clearing house are also transparent to the operator, providing clarity on invoice and debt chasing as well as dispute resolution. Cross-cycle netting optimizes payments between carriers, balancing receipts and payments over time. A simplification of the funding process means that operators maintain complete control of their cash throughout the payment process. A transparent foreign exchange rate mechanism also gives true visibility of the currency spread involved in the transaction, providing assurance on currency costs for operators.

The STARHOME MACH Financial Clearing solution uniquely combines the roaming agreement information used by both data and financial clearing houses, ensuring information is always synchronized. This means that for the first time, inter-operator agreements and updates remain synchronized between data and financial clearing processes, limiting unnecessary payment delays and allowing the new solution to offer revenue assurance from call record through to settlement.
