Rohde & Schwarz SIT and Adyton Systems announce technology partnership

The collaboration between Rohde & Schwarz SIT GmbH and firewall manufacturer Adyton Systems AG will start with CeBIT 2012 in Hanover

The Berlin-based high-security expert Rohde & Schwarz SIT and the Leipzig-based technology company Adyton Systems will be working together in the future to develop and market next-generation firewall products.

Berlin/Leipzig, February 21, 2012 The basis for this partnership will be the next generation firewall developed by Adyton Systems with innovative technology that allows network traffic to be screened practically in realtime at various levels (“single pass”). In the future, Rohde & Schwarz SIT will be marketing the next generation firewall under the name of R&S SITGate to government institutions, infrastructure operators and companies with especially sensitive data worldwide. A common-criteria-certified model is currently in the planning stages.

Winfried Wirth, Managing Director of Rohde & Schwarz SIT, sums up the positioning of the company as follows: “German-made IT security products featuring the most advanced technology paired with an attractive total cost of ownership. R&S SITGate is a powerful addition to our range of network security products. By joining forces with Adyton System, we have found a technologically very innovative partner for our firewall business.”

“We expect the strategic cooperation with Rohde & Schwarz SIT to help us tap into new markets and target groups within a short period of time,” says Klaus Mochalski, CEO of Adyton Systems. “From a technology standpoint, it is very exciting to continue the development of such an advanced firewall like ours in this direction and to establish it in the field of high security,” adds Martin Menschner, Technical Director.
