New Social Media Site ComposeTheFuture to launch at World Future Society 2012 Event

Platform developed to help groups and individuals collaborate and predict, plan and promote a better future

WorldFuture 2012, Toronto – 27 July, 2012 – It was announced today at WorldFuture 2012 that ComposeTheFuture, a unique, new future-focused social networking website, will be launching at the World Future Society’s annual conference that is being held July 27-29 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. ComposeTheFuture has been selected to premier its beta launch at WorldFuture 2012’s second annual Futurists BetaLaunch (F:BL), an evening event which is free to the public on July 28. At the event, ComposeTheFuture will present its future-prediction model to venture capitalists and angel investors, as well as to the 1,000 futurist from around the world expected to gather for WorldFuture 2012.

ComposeTheFuture has been designed and developed to help individuals, groups, and organizations to anticipate and embrace the future. In comparison to other social networking sites which are based on followers, friends or work, ComposeTheFuture is an interest-based social network providing a targeted platform to promote futurist ideas and services, share knowledge and demonstrate talent.

“ComposeTheFuture was the germ of an idea for many years, a dream of how to help people, and how to anticipate and grasp the future,” explains Brian Merritt, CEO of ComposeTheFuture. “I am delighted that we are now at the point where that dream can become a reality. The site is now realized and ready to achieve its aim of helping those with common interests and goals to connect, sharing their problems and ideas. The potential for this site is huge as I see it also providing a platform for global innovation and future planning, helping organizations to spot future trends and wildcard events.”

Users and members of the site can create predictions, share updates, build future-looking timelines and even set personal or professional goals, incorporating images, videos and references in their materials. In addition, all postings automatically integrate with other social networks – such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ – so that users can promote their futurist goals on a broader scale.

ComposeTheFuture takes privacy very seriously. Everything that is open for users is free. However, for a small annual fee, members can guarantee privacy with the ability to share private content coming at a higher annual subscription rate. Therefore, whether users are individuals just keen to network and share ideas or professional organizations, they can interact with the content and other users in a way that suits them.

Potential users of ComposeTheFuture include:

· Coaches and Consultants – These individuals can use the site to help people and organizations achieve their goals and potential. The site could be leveraged as a Future Innovation Platform, with ComposeTheFuture software running under their brand.

· Activists (and everyone else interested in the future, in change) – The site provides a place for individuals and organizations to be proactive, utilizing the forum to discuss issues, alternatives, and courses of action.
